Karate Styles

There are a number of different Karate styles, each one developed with the intention of being able to defend one's self against an attacker and to put an end to the altercation in a fast, painful and destructive manner.


Some of the many different styles are:

  • Chito-Ryu from Okinawa and Japan derived from Shorei-Ryu and Shorin- Ryu.
  • Goju-Ryu from Okinawa derived from Shaolin Boxing.
  • Gosoku-Ryu from Japan and USA derived from Goju-Ryu and Shotokan.
  • Issin-Ryu from Okinawa derived from Goju-Ryu, Shorin-Ryu and Kobudo.
  • Kokondo from Okinawa, Japan and USA derived from Kyokushin, Isshin-Ryu and Jujutsu.
  • Kyokushinkai from Japan derived from Shotokan and Goju-Ryu.
  • Seido Juku from USA derived from Goju-Ryu and Kyokushinkai.
  • Shito-Ryu from Okinawa and Japan derived from Shorin-Ryu, Naha-Te and Shotokan.
  • Shorin-Ryu from Okinawa derived from Shuri-Te, Tomari-Te and Chinese Martial Arts.
  • Shotokan from Japan derived from Shorei-Ryu and Shorin-Ryu.
  • Shuri-Ryu from USA derived from Shuri-Te and Hsing-Yi.
  • Uechi-Ryu from Okinawa derived from Pangai-Noon Kung-Fu.
  • Wado-Ryu from Japan derived from Jujutsu and Shotokan.
  • Yoshukai from Okinawa and Japan derived from Chito-Ryu.
