MMA's Greatest headknockers
MMA's greatest headknockers have tremendous knockout power, and have trained in some form of striking Martial Art, such as Boxing, Kick Boxing, Muay Thai, Tae kwon do, or Karate. They can end a fight with one punch or kick.
If you fight one of these guys, you better not let your guard down, or when you wake up, you will be wondering where your at, and who you are!
These are the most feared fighters in MMA. The first one on the list, changed the UFC when he fought. Before he entered MMA most of the fighting took place on the ground, but he liked to deliver punishment standing up, with his trademark "Mohawk" shining under the lights.
One of the first of MMA's Greatest headknockers was Chuck Liddell . He learned how to Strike from training in Karate, and Kickboxing.
Wanderlei the "Axe Murderer" Silva massacred opponents with non stop attacks, throwing Punches, Kicks, Elbows and Knees until his opponent was sprawled out, limp and unconscious on the canvas.
When Anderson the "Spider" Silva came to the UFC most Mixed Martial Arts fans in the U.S had never heard of him. That all changed when he destroyed the tough chinned Chris Leben, in the first round and earned himself a reputation as one of MMA's Greatest headknockers.
And since then he has left a trail of destruction in just about every "Cage" he's been in. Very few of his MMA opponents have been able to escape his favorite weapons, which are his Knees, Shins, Elbows, and Hands, from his Muay Thai training.
There seems to be a difference of opinion, as to who’s the best - to who was the best pound for pound MMA fighter. Some say that it's the guy mentioned above, Anderson Silva and some people say Fedor Emelianenko.
Fedor is definately a headknocker with one Punch KO power, even though most of his fights have been won by Submission. Fedor started his Martial Arts training in the "Grappling" styles of Judo and Sambo.
But he has become a tremendous Puncher very quickly, since he started fighting in MMA, and training in Striking.
